JOIN US For the Victorian Tea Luncheon!

This is one of Dakota City’s annual fundraisers and we are planning a very special tea luncheon and visit with Lady LaVonne.
Dakota City Heritage Village’s annual Victorian Tea Luncheon is scheduled for Saturday, May 2, 2026 at Crystal Lake Golf Club in Lakeville, MN.
This special event is an afternoon dedicated to celebrating and appreciating the incredible women in our lives.
Friends and relatives are invited to congregate in tea attire to appreciate an era gone by which includes a four-course meal with tea and entertainment. All ages are welcome! This is a great day to bring Mom, Grandmother, and Grandchildren together. A proper tea is a healing ritual between friends and family where trust, empathy, love and friendship abide.
Seating starts at 11:30 am with the tea luncheon starting at 12 noon. Crystal Lake Golf Club is located at 16725 Innsbrook Drive, Lakeville, MN.

Experience the spirit of this warm, holiday event through the village’s dazzling lights, Christmas music in the Church, the scent of wood burning stoves and the sound of horses and their jingle bells as they pull trolleys through the village. Warm up with a cup of soup or mug of hot cocoa in the Drug Store. Check out demonstrations of early 1900s wintertime chores in the Millinery and Harris House. There will also be old-fashioned candy and goods will be for sale at the Gift Shop and General Store. After you send your letter to St. Nicholas, by putting it in the post office box by the school, you can visit him at the Depot! Be sure to visit the model railroad display with holiday themed trains running around a festive winter scene in the village library. Check out the hot beverage and snack station located at the fire barn. Warm up inside with hot chocolate, cider, cookies or popcorn, Warm up outside near the new fire pits near the fire barn. Saturday and Sunday, December 6, 7, 13, and 14, 2025, from 3-8 PM, we’ve got holiday fun for the whole family at Dakota City’s Christmas in the Village! Located at Dakota County Fairgrounds, 4008 220th Street W., Farmington, MN. Admission tickets are available online or at the Admission Gate each day of the event, 3-8 pPM. Come experience the sights and sounds of the early 1900’s at Dakota City during the Dakota County Fair! Go back in time to a summer day in a rural Minnesota town of 1900 – walk through historic buildings like our Depot, one-room School, and family homes, or see demonstrations at the Millinery, Print Shop, and Carpenter Shop. You can listen to music at the Bandstand and grab a delicious root beer float in the Drug Store, then head to the Gift Shop or General Store for candy and more. Don’t forget a refreshing glass of lemonade or hot corn-on-the-cob from our Corn & Lemonade Stand! The Would you like to volunteer in the village during the Fair? You receive a free parking pass, volunteer t-shirt and refreshments if desired.
Volunteer slots are about 3.5 hours and range from serving as a building host, serving food, or assisting as a golf cart driver to deliver musicians, volunteers, ice and food supplies to their posts. Please go to our Volunteer page to fill out a volunteer form. We will contact you.
As the weather gets cooler and the leaves begin to change, Dakota City gets ready for fall with Autumn Harvest. This event changes annually with a different theme – stay tuned for more information on our next Autumn Harvest. Get ready for the return of Autumn Harvest next year in the fall of 2024.
