Every year during the Dakota County Fair, Dakota City Heritage Village offers a glimpse at 1900 life. Visitors
can talk to interpreters in our buildings and watch as they cook in the Harris House kitchen, sew in the Millinery,
and work in the blacksmith shop. Dakota City also hosts a tractor parade at 1:00 pm Tuesday through Sunday of the
Fair, featuring many restored tractors and agricultural implements from the museum's collections.
