2007 Civil War Weekend

For one weekend, Dakota City Heritage Village and its visitors experienced the Civil War. Four local reenactment groups and Dakota City intepreters portrayed soldiers and civilians during the tumultous time in our country's history. Visitors enjoyed small skirmishes, watching and smelling Civil-War-era cooking, and listening to the sounds of a Civil War marching band.
